Horse drawn hearses before the automobile.

This beauty is a fully restored 1912 Riddle horse drawn hearse manufactured in Ravenna Ohio. This hearse incorporates a full elliptical body, heavy crown molding, mosque top, hand carved drapery panels from solid mahogany wood, with front and door panels and elaborately carved columns. Interior table polished natural finish with silver plated mountings, rollers, table plates, bier pins, and ornaments. It is 7'9" tall, with wheels and spokes made of dried rock elm. This hearse was last used in the 1918 flu pandemic by Hunt Funeral Home in Hundred WV, after which it was stored for 100 years! It was completely restored by Amish craftsman Daniel Raber over a 16 month period.
